The Weekly Chalkboard – September 12-16, 2016

Welcome to the week’s Chalkboard!

crossfit-ncs-logoThough it’s a few weeks away still, CrossFit NCS has announced that they are having their official grand opening on Saturday, October 1st. Put it on your calendar! We were just there a week or so ago and they’re ready for you! In the meantime, they have regular classes and are ready to help you with your fitness goals – I think the October 1st date is just an excuse to throw a party. 🙂 Sounds like it’ll be fun though – with vendors, workouts, and a clothing donation for a local charity. We’ll have more details before long, I’m sure!

Also, I recommend you check in with The Hangry Helper this week on Tuesday to see if they have room for new clients. Watch their Facebook page for the announcement. And drop by Pandora’s Box on Monday to see if they have any extra meals in their pantry for you before they all disappear! (See last week’s Chalkboard for a bit more about the food services they provide.)

And 9am Saturday September 17th will be yoga with Jenn Ridds at CrossFit 719! Show up and get some flexibility and breathing practice into your day! #getflexy

battle-save-the-date-2016Beyond that, the 5th Annual Battle at the Rock is also happening on Saturday the 17th at CrossFit Castle Rock. Anybody planning on heading up this year? If you do, make sure you get a few pictures and share them so I can put them up next Monday! It starts bright and early on Saturday at 8am, so let us know how it goes. Grab tickets at!

There’s also a 1/2 Marathon & 10k race to support the 10th Force Support Squadron on Saturday. I can’t find many details on it, but it will be up on the Santa Fe Trail on Saturday at 7am. I recommend reaching out through the event page on Facebook for more info if you’re interested.

Seems you have quite a few choices for your Saturday!

Anybody else have anything exciting going on this week? Or news from the last weekend? Or any upcoming events to announce to the world? Give us a holler at the Contact page or on our FB page – links are also above!
